They're Married

Wedding Preparations!

Oh, we have all been busy, from flowers...

to finery...

to food!!!

The Bride and Groom have baked their own wedding cake...

It might look like the "classic white cake" but it holds several 

flavorful surprises!

Only 10 days now, and we are getting excited!!!!!!!

Last Sunday our church family and friends put on a 

lovely housewarming shower for us at our new 

home! Here are some pictures from the day:)

Hmmm...which were best - the lemon spritz cookies,

or the cheese straws? Maybe on of each!

Thank goodness for two wonderful moms that 

made sure everything was set up and went smoothly!

Everyone had a good time visiting and sharing 

the time. We had a nice crowd in our little house!

It was a good thing the weather was nice so we could 

overflow on to the patio!

Our family and friends showered us with many lovely 

and useful gifts that will help make our home so comfortable!

Below is a picture of a very special afghan that came from 

a dear friend and church member. That will be an item

we will always cherish.

Here are some pictures of the house now that we finally have

some furniture in it. We are so happy with how 

it has turned out. It will be a lovely, comfortable home!

Our hall has a little curved table at one end,

and the book shelves at the other end are wonderful!

Our Living Room is one of my favorite rooms!

It turned out very cozy and restful. We love 

Our big, sectional sofa that gives us lots of seating 

for company, and I am in love with the big

old upright piano that was Joseph's Grandma's.

Our kitchen is definitely a favorite room 

for both of us! We love all the space to 

work and entertain. I love how bright and cheerful 

it turned out after we painted it!

I was kindly remembered this year on my 25th birthday with

flowers and cards from so many special people! 

It is truly a blessing to have family, friends, and a church 

family that all care about me so much and 

find so many ways to show it! My favorite  card was 

one from my piano and violin students

that sings The Einsy Weinsy Spider recorded by them!

Joseph took me out for the evening on my birthday

and we went shopping for our wedding bands

and some items for our gift registry.

We went to a wonderful oriental restaurant for supper.

It was a fun evening to spend together!

These were my Valentine roses from my fiance this year. 

They were so beautiful and they smelled so sweet!

This Sunday Joseph and I worked to get our wedding invitations ready to mail. 

We also worked on our gift registry. We are both glad to have those projects completed!
